904L stainless steel is a high-alloy austenitic stainless steel known for its high level of corrosion resistance in a wide variety of environments. The combination of high levels of chromium, molybdenum, and nickel endows 904L with stronger resistance against chloride attack and sulfuric acid compared to conventional stainless steels. It also exhibits excellent toughness and weldability. 904L stainless steel pipes are extensively used in applications like chemical processing, particularly in sulfuric and phosphoric acid environments, oil and gas industry equipment, and seawater cooling devices, thanks to their exceptional resistance to corrosion.
